How to Use the Tannoy Feature on Your Phone System


  1. Ensure your Yealink desk phone is powered on and idle.
  2. Locate the programmed Tannoy soft key on the phone display.
  3. Press the Tannoy button to initiate a tannoy announcement.
  4. Wait for the phone to connect to the tannoy paging group.
  5. When prompted, lift the handset to begin your announcement.
  6. Speak clearly into the handset. Your announcement will be broadcast to all phones assigned to the configured tannoy group.
  7. Keep the handset at a normal speaking distance and deliver your message clearly.
  8. Once your announcement is complete, replace the handset to end the tannoy broadcast.
  9. Confirm that the tannoy session has ended and the phone has returned to the home screen.
  10. If required, repeat the process to make another announcement.
  11. Use the tannoy feature only for authorised announcements, as it broadcasts immediately to the configured devices.
